Each year CropLife Canada hosts GrowCanada. This conference is considered the country’s premier agricultural event and acts as a platform for industry leaders to connect and explore the latest innovations in the sector.
CropLife Canada wanted an economical solution that would include registration mechanisms and branded assets that could be updated annually with minimal effort. They also wanted to reduce their operational fees by reducing the cost of each registration and the drain on staff resources associated with collecting payments and managing registrants.
Accurate Creative assessed their previous conference registration tools and methods. Our goal was to determine how things could be done better and more cost‐effectively. We also looked for ways the brand assets could be developed to be reused annually but in a way that would also allow the conference theme to be reflected in the brand assets.

Conference registration website portal
Agricultural industry leaders and stakeholders from coast‐to‐coast.
As a starting point, we assessed the current conference registration methods used by the CropLife staff and determined that they were largely manual, taking registrations over the phone or via email. They had experimented with online registration tools but the transaction costs per registrant were quite high. Our solution was to build a custom registration portal that would give them the flexibility to manage registrations in a single portal. The web portal also allows them to export registrant information while dramatically reducing CropLife Canada’s transaction costs.
Secondly, we developed a logo that could be reused each year with minor modifications such as adding the date. Aside from the logo, there are no other brand standards associated with the conference. This might sound like a red flag but in this case, it’s actually a blessing. It gives the conference organizers complete freedom when it comes to developing a theme each year.

The development of a custom web registration portal allowed CropLife to reduce the drain on internal resources booking and processing registrants. The online web portal automated much of the work and also provided the conference team with database exports allowing them to manage their registrant lists and easily build a registration packages, etc. The cost to build a custom system paid back in short order with reduced transaction fees. Finally, the modifiable brand allows them to quickly update the logo annually while keeping interest high with adaptable theme graphics.
