The 2016-2017 online report shifted the focus toward using video as a powerful content element. The website was designed with minimalism in mind, allowing the messaging throughout to take centre stage.
The stories behind patient outcomes, system performance, and cost efficiency are told through video vignettes capturing the moving and personal experiences of donors, recipients, and service providers.
Each subject—including leaders at Canadian Blood Services—spoke from the heart. The candid, authentic vignettes each demonstrated the value of the organization and aligned perfectly with the personal nature of the Canadian Blood Services donor outreach key messages.
The website also offers a downloadable version of the annual report in PDF form containing the detailed data story behind the organization’s activities and benefits.
