SOLE SOURCE LIMIT RAISED to $40K:
As per Contracting Policy Notice 2019-02, companies are no longer obligated to compete for anything under $40,000, (up from the previous $25,000 limit). It’s noted that Departments are expected to assess whether “circumstances where competition for requirements below $40K may be appropriate”.
Note: Projects exceeding $40K in value must go to tender
SOLE SOURCE LIMIT FOR VIDEO S/A RAISED to $40K:
The Audio Visual Production Services S/A now allows sole-sourcing for projects under $40K (including taxes), raised from the previous limit of $25,000. All video services for the Gov’t of Canada must go through this purchasing vehicle via PSPC—even if the video is part of a larger suite of products.
