MBM Intellectual Property Law Website Rebrand & Content Refresh

MBM is a progressive Canadian law firm focused exclusively on Intellectual Property. For more than 30 years, the firm has supported innovators across patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyrights, and more. Their clients span a wide range of industries including biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, automotive, technology, and entertainment.

Context

MBM built a strong reputation grounded in expertise and credibility, but their digital presence hadn’t kept pace.

The existing site ran on outdated technology, was difficult to manage internally, and lacked consistency across devices. Updating content was cumbersome, and the experience felt more technical than approachable.

What was needed wasn’t a surface-level refresh—it was a complete overhaul of a large, complex website and content ecosystem.

Challenges

The previous platform limited flexibility and slowed internal workflows. Sharing insights, updating professional profiles, and maintaining thought leadership required more effort than it should have.

Externally, the site didn’t clearly show the firm’s depth of expertise or the people behind it.

MBM needed a modern, bilingual, mobile-first platform that would:

  • Simplify internal content management
  • Improve usability across devices
  • Connect services and professionals more intuitively
  • Support long-term marketing growth
  • Firmly position them as industry leaders/experts

Strategy

Accurate Creative treated this as a full rebuild, not just a visual refresh. Instead of simply reshuffling pages, we stepped back and rethought the structure—simplifying the experience and creating stronger, more intuitive connections between services, industries, and the people behind them.

This shift gave the firm greater control over how their content is managed and presented. The new platform supports both operational efficiency and long-term growth, positioning MBM with a digital presence that works as strategically as they do.

Implementation

We delivered the project in two phases: a full rebrand and rebuild of MBM’s primary website, followed by a refresh of the Canadian Intellectual Property blog.

Both platforms were migrated from a restrictive proprietary system to WordPress, giving the team greater flexibility, stronger security, and more control over their content.

The new site includes:

  1. a filterable professional directory
  2. service pages connected directly to subject-matter experts
  3. an integrated events calendar
  4. a streamlined, searchable blog
  5. a customizable firm timeline

Everything was rebuilt to be responsive, easy to navigate, and simple for the MBM team to manage day to day.

Results

MBM now has a cohesive digital presence that better reflects who they are today: credible, knowledgeable, and approachable. The new platform makes it easier for their team to manage content, share insights, and keep the site current while giving clients a smoother experience across devices and languages.
